SHENZHEN

I made two trips to Shenzhen recently. During trips I visited the miniature theme parks that they have near Shenzhen Bay.
The first park is called "Splendid China" which is filled with all of china's major landmarks built at a scale of 1:15. About a kilometer down the street is another park called "Windows of the World". This park has all of the world's major landmarks at varying scales. The eiffel tower is 102m tall or 1:3. You can take the elevator to the observation level at the top of the tower, similar to in paris. It is remarkable to see this highly detailed models of buildings and landscapes that you have seen pictures of, but it is even more strange to see the replications of places that I have been to.
