VAN >> HK

I arrived in Hong Kong at 6:30am Pacific time. The flight was delayed in Vancouver, but the 13hr flight after that went by fairly quickly. After a quick taxi ride to Kowloon, I dropped my bags off and went out for a quick bite. It is now time to sleep as I have been up nearly 24hrs. Tomorrow, HK in daylight, and probably cell phone shopping.

Looks incredible. I'm jealous. Its funny how you said that the reality of what you're getting into probably wouldn't kick in until you were on the plane over top of the Pacific, because my jealousy of what you're getting into hasn't set in until just now after seeing that photo.

Good luck with the cell phone shopping. Get something cool. Talk to you soon.

PS. Are you going to start a flicker account for all of your photos? I'm thinking that I will probably do that for studio.

It would be awesome for you so that you can share all of your photos with all of us here in small-time Winnipeg.

PPS. You did miss out today on a great lecture. Guy Maddin screened his new film "My Winnipeg" for us and then had a real long Q&A period.

Hong Kong looks amazing, z - or at least your first picture does. Can't wait to see what you do with your trip, or what your trip does with you. Sorry we couldn't touch base before you left. Glad to see you'll be keeping us informed, and letting us tag along...

Arvelle and I went to the opening screening of My Winnipeg at the Toronto Film Festival - packed house for a wonderful film.

Hey Zach,
WoW! How exciting. Can't wait to see how you start this thesis, I remember how it was for me starting with no professors or fellow students...but I daresay you're a more focused student. I'm sure you'll find tons of inspiration there. You're so lucky! Good luck.
